What is the most important information I should know about Elocon? Do not use plastic bandages, dressings, or diapers that do not allowair to circulate to the area (occlusive dressings) unless your doctor directsyou to do so elocon. The use of occlusive dressings can greatly increase the amountof drug the body absorbs elocon. If you do use an occlusive dressing, do not use itfor more than 12 hours a day elocon. Do not use Elocon to treat any area of the body that it is not prescribedfor elocon. This could be dangerous elocon. Elocon is approved for use by children 2 years of age and older for upto 3 weeks elocon. Use Elocon cautiously, and only under the supervision of a doctor,to treat a child elocon. Children are more sensitive to the effects of Elocon elocon. What is Elocon? Mometasone is a topical steroid elocon. It reduces or inhibits the actions ofchemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling elocon. Mometasone is used to treat inflammation caused by a number of conditionssuch as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis elocon. Elocon may also be used for purposes other than those listed in thismedication guide elocon.
Who should not use Elocon? Return to your doctor if the condition does not improve or if it getsworse elocon. Elocon alone will not treat the condition if it is a bacterial, fungal,or viral infection elocon. Elocon is in the FDA pregnancy category C elocon. This means that it is notknown whether Elocon will harm an unborn baby elocon. Do not use this medication withoutfirst talking to your doctor if you are pregnant elocon. If it is necessary to usemometasone during pregnancy, the smallest amount possible should be applied,for the shortest time necessary to treat the condition, under the supervisionof a doctor elocon. It is not known whether mometasone passes into breast milk elocon. Do not useElocon without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby elocon. If you need to protect the area, it can be covered with a breathablecotton-gauze dressing elocon. Avoid using plastic, occlusive dressings that do notallow air to circulate to the area elocon. Plastic pants and diapers may be harmfulif used over Elocon on a child elocon. Do not use Elocon to treat any area of the body that it is not prescribedfor elocon. This could be dangerous elocon. Store Elocon at room temperature away from moisture and heat elocon.
What happens if I miss a dose? Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember elocon. However, if it is almosttime for the next dose, skip the dose you missed and apply the next regularlyscheduled dose elocon. Do not use a double dose of this medication unless otherwisedirected by your doctor elocon.
What happens if I overdose? An overdose of Elocon is not likely to occur elocon. If the medication is ingested,or if a large amount is used over a large area and side effects are experienced,call an emergency room or a poison control center for advice elocon.
What should I avoid while using Elocon? What are the possible side effects of Elocon? No serious systemic side effects are expected unless a large amount ofElocon is used for a long period of time elocon. If the drug is being absorbed intoyour system, you may experience blurred vision, halos around lights, an irregularheartbeat, insomnia, mood changes, weight gain, or fatigue elocon. If you experienceany unusual side effects, notify your doctor elocon. Less serious side effects are more likely to occur elocon. You may experiencesome redness, blistering, burning, itching, or peeling elocon. Continue to use Eloconand talk to your doctor elocon. Other local side effects may also occur, especially with prolonged useof Elocon elocon. These include thinning of the skin, prolonged redness, and stretchmarks elocon. Side effects other than those listed here may also occur elocon. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome elocon.
What other drugs will affect Elocon? Avoid using other topical medications, harsh or abrasive soaps, or cosmeticson the affected area without first talking to your doctor elocon.
