Who should not take Exelon?
• Before taking Exelon, tell your doctor if you:
· have significant nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, or weight loss;
· have difficulty urinating;
· have heart disease such as a slow or irregular heartbeat;
· have a history of stomach ulcers;
· have seizures or a history of seizures;
· have a history of asthma or obstructive pulmonary disease; or
· need to have surgery com ed exelon.
• You may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatmentif you have any of the conditions listed above com ed exelon.
• Exelon is in the FDA pregnancy category B com ed exelon. This means that it is unlikelyto harm an unborn baby com ed exelon. Do not take Exelon without first talking to your doctorif you are pregnant com ed exelon.
• It is also not known whether Exelon will harm a nursing infant com ed exelon. Do nottake Exelon without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding ababy com ed exelon.

How should I take Exelon?
• Take Exelon exactly as directed by your doctor com ed exelon. If you do not understandthese directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you com ed exelon.
• Exelon is usually taken twice a day, in the morning and evening com ed exelon. Followyour doctor's directions com ed exelon.
• Take Exelon with food com ed exelon.
• If you are taking Exelon capsules, take each dose with a full glass ofwater com ed exelon.
• To use the Exelon oral solution:
· Remove the oral dosing syringe from its protective case com ed exelon. Push downand twist the child resistant closure to open bottle com ed exelon.
· Insert the tip of the syringe into opening of the white stopper com ed exelon.
· While holding the syringe, pull the plunger up to the level (see markingson side of syringe) that equals the dose prescribed by your doctor com ed exelon.
· Before removing the syringe containing the prescribed dose from thebottle, push out any large bubbles by moving the plunger up and down a few times com ed exelon. After the large bubbles are gone, pull the plunger again to the level that equalsthe dose prescribed by your doctor com ed exelon. Do not worry about a few tiny bubbles, thiswill not affect your dose com ed exelon. Remove the syringe from the bottle com ed exelon.
· You may swallow the solution directly from the syringe or mix it witha small glass of water, cold fruit juice, or soda com ed exelon. Do not mix it with otherliquids com ed exelon. If mixing with water, juice, or soda, be sure to stir completely andto drink the entire mixture com ed exelon. Drink the mixture within 4 hours com ed exelon.
· After use, wipe the outside of the syringe with a clean tissue andput it back into its case com ed exelon. Close the bottle using the child resistant closure com ed exelon.
• Do not use a regular table spoon to measure a dose of Exelon liquid com ed exelon. Use the syringe provided com ed exelon.
• If you stop taking Exelon for any reason, talk to your doctor beforerestarting the medication com ed exelon. You may need to restart treatment with a lower dose com ed exelon.
• Store Exelon at room temperature away from moisture and heat in an uprightposition com ed exelon.

What happens if I miss a dose?
• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember com ed exelon. However, if it is almosttime for your next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take thenext one as directed com ed exelon. Do not take a double dose of this medication unless otherwisedirected by your doctor com ed exelon.

What happens if I overdose?
• Seek emergency medical attention com ed exelon.
• Symptoms of a Exelon overdose include severe nausea, vomiting, wateringmouth, sweating, slow heartbeat, slow breathing, prolonged or severe dizziness,fainting, blurred vision, seizures, and collapse com ed exelon.

What should I avoid while taking Exelon?
• Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardousactivities com ed exelon. Exelon may cause dizziness or drowsiness com ed exelon. If you experience dizzinessor drowsiness, avoid these activities com ed exelon.

What are the possible side effects of Exelon?
• Stop taking Exelon and seek emergency medical attention if you experiencean allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swellingof your lips, tongue, or face; or hives) com ed exelon.
• Other, less serious side effects may also occur com ed exelon. Continue to take Exelonand talk to your doctor if you experience
· drowsiness or dizziness;
· nausea, vomiting, or decreased appetite;
· diarrhea;
· weight loss;
· abdominal pain or diarrhea;
· headache;
· weakness or a feeling of general discomfort; or
· tremor com ed exelon.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur com ed exelon. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome com ed exelon.

What other drugs will affect Exelon?
• Exelon can interact with many other medicines com ed exelon. Before taking Exelon,tell your doctor and pharmacist about all medicines you are taking, includingover-the-counter preparations, so that your therapy can be monitored for interactions com ed exelon.
